PAW Patrol.com Description
Ryder is a 10-year-old boy who runs the Lookout and serves as PAW Patrol’s leader. Despite his age, he and the pups have saved every adult in Adventure Bay countless times! Ryder adopted each of the pups and trained them to be a part of PAW Patrol. When he receives a distress call, he summons the pups via his Pup Pad. Ryder picks the right pup for the job, organizes the pack, and supervises the team on their rescue missions. To the best of our knowledge, he's never been paid for all his hard work.
PAW Patrol LIVE! Description
Ryder is a 10-year-old boy who runs the Lookout and serves as the leader of the other PAW Patrol Live! characters. Ryder adopted each of the puppies and trained them to be a part of PAW Patrol. When he receives a distress call, he summons the pups by sounding the PAW Patrol Alarm from his PupPad. He functions as the team commander, picking the right pup for the job, organizing the pack, and – when the work is done – making sure they all get a healthy dog snack, a relaxing soak at his friend Katie’s Pet Parlor, or a run out at the Lookout’s Pup Park.
Personality
Ryder is very intelligent and creative. He trained each of the pups to their own specific job (e.g. Marshall as a firefighter dog, Chase as a police dog etc.), and he invented all of the gadgets used by the PAW Patrol team. He even taught each pup how to use their own gadgets. During an emergency, Ryder knows the solutions to each problem and he also knows which pups are needed in each mission. He is tech-savvy and has built the pups' equipment and vehicles.
During missions, Ryder is seen in all episodes as being very calm and collected. He is also very mature, patient, and friendly, which earns him the trust and loyalty of all the pups, and this makes him a good leader of the PAW Patrol. He's kind and caring towards his pups. He's always willing to help out someone with nothing in return, even if that someone happens to be a villain like Mayor Humdinger. He's quite reasonable and lenient, even to Mayor Humdinger, despite the latter's schemes. He along with the other members are deeply respected by the town because of their professionalism and saving the day multiple time.
Although Ryder is mature, he is still a child, and can be playful and childish, such as when he plays games on his Pup-Pad. He also plays with his pups in his spare time.
In PAW Patrol: The Movie, when he was a young kid, he saw the potential of Chase to be the bravest pup. He is also shown to be very resourceful since he handles the funds. He also drops his professionalism a little bit.
In PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie, he reveals that he came up with the motto, "No job is too big, no pup is too small", after rescuing Skye, seeing how brave a small pup like her could be.
In both PAW Patrol: The Movie and PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie, Ryder does his best to keep his pups safe, even making decisions to keep them safe at the cost of their trust.
Appearance
Ryder has fair skin, gelled up spiky dark brown hair, and brown eyes. He wears a red, white, yellow, and blue vest, which contains the PAW Patrol logo, that covers a white long-sleeved shirt. He also wears blue jeans and has blue and white shoes. He is not as tall as the adult characters, since he is a child.
During missions, Ryder wears a high-tech jacket which has the same colors like his vest. During an underwater mission, Ryder wears a scuba diving suit that also has the same colors as his vest.
In "Pups and the Ghost Pirate", Ryder wears a knight costume for Halloween. Although different from what Ryder usually wears, the knight costume still contains his life vest, which inflates when Ryder was traveling over the water on his ATV.
