Sea Patrol: Pups Save Puplantis
Puplantis 61

Trivia
  • This is the first episode to premiere in the United States in 2018.
  • The location, Puplantis, is based on Atlantis, a fictional underwater city.
  • This is the first Sea Patrol episode to take place at night.
  • This is the third time Skye and Rocky turn into Mer-Pups, the second time for Marshall and Zuma, and the first time for Chase and Rubble.
  • Sid Swashbuckle and Arrby make their debut.
  • This episode marks the debut of the Sub Patroller.
  • This is the third episode featuring the Mer-Pups.
  • Cap'n Turbot went underwater without any assistance of a vehicle (until later in the episode).
    • He is also the second human to wear scuba gear.
  • This is the first time Rocky didn't have his gear on when he was turned into a Mer-Pup.
  • During Marshall's Beach Tower HQ entrance pratfall gag within the episode, Marshall collides with the pups after being turned back into a normal pup by Mama Mer-Pup while in mid-jump. He jokingly dubs his Mer-Pup form as Mershall by saying, "No more Mershall the Mer-Pup. Now I'm just clumsy old Marshall."
  • The fourth wall is broken at the end of the episode. After the octopus swims away with Cap'n Turbot's camera, the latter tells the viewers that he'll have to wait for the next Mer-moon.
  • This is the last episode where Max Calinescu voices Chase before being replaced by Justin Kelly in the beginning of Season 5.
  • The island Sid Swashbuckle has on his monitor appears to be the same island that Carlos and Tracker were stuck on in "Sea Patrol: Pirate Pups to the Rescue".
  • The old jack-in-the-box from "Pups Find a Genie" can be spotted inside Sid's ship.
  • The shell of Puplantis is the third royal artifact that has been stolen.
  • Rubble is shown to be able to float in water. Realistically, he would not have been able to on his own, as the legs of bulldogs are too short and their bodies are too robust.
  • This is the first time Ryder wears his standard outfit in the Sea Patrol sub-series.

Errors

  • Near the end of the episode, there is a scene where Marshall, Zuma, and Skye are not wearing their pup packs inside the Sea Patroller. However, for the rest of the scene, they are seen wearing their pup packs again.
