- Alex Porter and Mr. Porter are seen in boy scout/camping outfits for the first time.
- This the second episode to feature the elements on scouting (the first takes place in "Pups Save the Camping Trip").
- Alex and Mr. Porter become the fourth and fifth characters to wear scouting attire (the first three are Mayor Goodway, Skye and Rocky).
- This is the second episode in which Zuma starts to float into the air (by a kite in this case). The first time this occurs is in "Pups Save a Goodway" (caused by balloons).
- While Marshall instructs Alex on fire safety, he reminds Alex to be sure to call 911, a real life phone number used to call for any kind of emergency.
- Most notably, the entire mission is a fourth wall break because Marshall tells Alex what real firefighters do.
